About Rory
Rory is the drummer for the band Fat Fox.
Rory started in music at the age of 8 with the piano. Entering middle school, he played many different instruments in the school orchestra. Moving into high school, Rory joined the marching band, eventually earning a spot on the drumline where he fell in love with the drums. During his senior year, the marching band went on to win multiple awards across the state, including best percussion and best overall band.
As his interests grew, Rory took a liking to audio production, attending Spokane Falls Community College in the Audio Engineering program. Rory has since opened his home recording studio, Studio Bonfire, and began working with clients as a recording engineer and producer and has worked with dozens of artists.
In 2016, Rory started a family of his own, marrying his longtime girlfriend Ashleigh, and moving away from his hometown of Spokane to Redmond WA, and then eventually to Northern California. The Langdon’s moved back to the Evergreen State in 2018 to be closer to family where Rory met the members of Fat Fox as their sound engineer. As the position of drummer became open, Rory was asked to take over the spot and was happy to become a part of the Fat Fox family.
In 2020, Rory went back to school to be a computer programmer and software engineer and has taken an interest in creating software for audio production.
Rory and Ashleigh welcomed their first child, Jameson, into the world in May 2021 and have since become dedicated parents and family people. They like staying in, watching Marvel movies, doing jigsaw puzzles, and eating pizza and ice cream. Rory also likes working out in his garage and getting swole.
