The song is about trying to hit on a stranger… then not being able to say anything once you approach them. The song was actually originally called “Selective Mutism”, referring to a condition where you become a mute in certain social situations when you can otherwise normally speak fine, but the name made the song sound a lot cooler than it really is, haha. It also sounds like it could be a song written by Muse, which this is not!
