Hey everyone!
Through this pandemic, not only have we been writing & releasing new original music, but we’ve also been working on a few new cover songs to play at our live shows!
While we’d love to just be able to go out and play the songs we write and have people love them, we know the reality of what people (I suppose that’s all of you :P) really want — songs they know and love! …and really, we can’t blame you because WE LOVE THEM TOO! Which is why we always continue to learn and add more covers!
As always, what we learn is a mixed bag of our varying influences plus suggestions from our fans (you guys!) — though I suppose one could say we’ve been on bit of a 90’s kick with some of these!
Here’s what we’ve been working on:
Red Red Wine – Bob Marley / UB40
– This one we watched performed by another local cover band, Groove Principal (https://www.facebook.com/grooveprincipal), who are a SUPER COOL group of guys and definitely one of the most popular bands in the area. — Hopefully they don’t mind we play this one too 😛
Ja Ja Ding Dong – Eurovision
– First: if you haven’t seen Eurovision, you should. — Maybe this is one of those songs we’ll never perform live, but we sure do get a kick out of it! — and you never know when someone might yell, “PLAY JA JA DING DONG!”.
My Own Worst Enemy – Lit
– Just a fun song from the 90’s! Suggested by either T. J. or Laurence… we don’t remember 😀
Buddy Holly – Weezer
– Suggested by our bass player Laurence, we’re hoping you like it too!
7 Nation Army – The White Stripes
– We don’t remember who suggested this one, but it’s SUPER easy to play and so we might as well, right?
Semi-Charmed Life – Third Eye Blind
– Just a fun 90’s song, suggested by Tommy.
Never Been Any Reason – Head East
– This was suggested by a fan! Although we’re not quite ready as Kali’s still working on that super intense synth intro on the keyboard!
Another Brick In The Wall – Pink Floyd
Just a popular, well liked, Pink Floyd song… and nobody really needs no education anyway, rite?
Everybody Wants to Rule The World – Tears for Fears
We sure do dig a lot these 80’s songs and hopefully you guys enjoy it too!
Letter From an Occupant – The New Pornographers
Suggested by Laurence, and previous unheard of by the rest of the band, this is just a fun 90’s alternative song.
If you have song suggestions, send them our way! — Admittedly, we don’t learn all of them to play live, but maybe at the very least we could live stream a performance of it at home!
